“Ride A Test- Fix A Test”

Using the NEW 2019 USEF dressage tests

with Sharri Wolke-  L judge

Hosted at Pine Lake Stables, Plainwell, Mi

Shari Wolke is an FEI rider and trainer, as well as a Bronze Medalist and L Graduate With Distinction. Shari’s first dressage horse, Lord Kenmer, is an off-the track Thoroughbred she adopted from New Vocations Racehorse Adoption in the fall of 2007. With time and patience, in 5 years, Kenny and Shari debuted at Prix St. Georges. Kenny’s success story is a testament to her belief that all horses have the potential for dressage, given the correct training and patience.

Shari’s goal in training is to develop correctly trained dressage horses, regardless of their breed. As an instructor, trainer, and judge, Shari appreciates watching all breeds of horses transform into athletic performers, with each ride improving in harmony. Shari enjoys working with “nontraditional” dressage breeds and horses, and is most excited to see horses that otherwise would not have a useful life succeed in their dressage careers.

Shari had earlier completed the Horse Management program at Michigan State University in 2007, where she focused on developing her skills in dressage as well as the biomechanics of the sport. Not long after, in 2010, she earned the scores for her USDF Bronze medal, quickly moving on to the L Program for dressage judges, earning L Graduate With Distinction status. Shari has, since 2011, judged horse shows in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, judging over 10 shows per year within this region. Shari’s true passion is watching her judging and instruction lead to a more harmonious pair.

Participants will be scheduled for a 50 minute lesson with Shari.  They will ride the test they have chosen from the New 2019 USDF tests. Shari will then give instruction on what to do, and how to improve their ride.
